BHIP® Middle School Session

Dr. Kim Burgess, Ph.D. (Pediatric Psychology Center), professor & research scientist collaborating with Professors Hastings & Bowker, conducts a prevention program for students who are transitioning to middle school. Utilizing innovative & integrated health care and feedback from former middle school students, we will help students handle stressors and learn lifelong social, academic, problem-solving and coping skills. We aim to intervene and prevent students from experiencing unhealthy levels of stress, anxiety, frustration, or becoming overwhelmed with school. We also cover the practical aspects of navigating middle school for the first time, the do's/dont's of social media, and dealing with peer conflicts & teasing/bullying.

Eligibility: Entering 6th Grade by Fall 2021

BHIP® High School Session

Utilizing innovative & integrated health care and feedback from high school students, we will help your teenager handle stressors and learn lifelong social, academic, problem-solving and coping skills. We aim to intervene and prevent students from experiencing unhealthy levels of stress, anxiety, frustration, mood changes, or becoming overwhelmed with school.

Eligibility: Entering 9th Grade by Fall 2021

BHIP® Parent Seminars

BHIP® Parent Seminar

Dr. Kim Burgess, Ph.D. (Pediatric Psychology Center), professor & research scientist collaborating with Professors Hastings & Bowker, conducts a seminar for parents of students transitioning to elementary, middle, and high school. Utilizing innovative & integrated health care and feedback from students, we will help you understand your parenting style, how it impacts your child, and what to expect from the transition they're approaching. We aim to intervene and prevent students from experiencing unhealthy levels of stress, anxiety, frustration, mood changes, or becoming overwhelmed with school. In doing so, parents play a key role and we are here to help!
